My love of animals and my passion for photography lead me to focus my lens on wildlife. However, my subjects were unpredictable and not always where I wanted them to be. But the landscape is always there...
My intro into the art began many years earlier. While still living in London and working for 'Motor', Britain's leading weekly car magazine, I often helped out on photo shoots with one of the staff photographers. As my interest in photogaphy grew, I took over the role as designated family snapper of our kids and family travels.
Then a move to the U.S.A. and to a home with a built in darkroom....time to take this hobby to the next level. After enrolling in a number of black and white photography classes at a local college, I learned just how much I didn't know about the workings of a camera.
Many years later, those lessons on basic camera skills, and the help of many talented photography friends, my interest grew. With hours of practice, and in more recent years, attending many 'on location' photo shoots and seminars, participating in local juried exhibitions, this' hobby' has developed into a lasting and serious passion. Now living in Northern Michigan and surrounded by The Great Lakes, there is no shortage of opportunities for all kinds of nature and landscape photography right on our doorstep.
Over the last few years, with more time available, a recently acquired Airstream and a husband who shares a love of travel and nature, I get to indulge my habit on regular basis.
I hope you enjoy my visions of the world as I see it through my lens.
